Raduna dati astronomici, astrologici, alchimistici e naturalistici, di origine per lo più araba, che Cecco contrappone alla "falsa" scienza della Commedia dantesca e soprattutto all'esigenza totalizzante di derivazione tomistica, che quell'opera anima e pervade.
