An illuminating volume on the history of typography and print, the letters between close friends Stanley Morison and D.B. Updike exchange their insightful opinions and ideas revolving around print during the interwar period. Morison was best known for being the designer of Times New Roman and reviving blackletter over Victorian fine printing, while Updike founded the Merrymount Press.
