They do not however examine in depth the Iranians share in the formation of this apparatus. Many key questions pertaining to the migration of the Iranians in Mughal India remain unclear. This book examines the regions of Iran where from the migrants came the type of the people who migrated to India and the place where they finally settled. A major concern of the present work is to study and highlight the reasons and factors that determined the Iranians migration to India. Why did Iranian people migrate to India why not to Central Asia? What were the factors which influenced and shaped the Mughal policy towards the Iranian nobility? Was it guided by the interests of the Mughal state? If yes to what extent? Did religion exert any influence on the migration of Iranians into India and or on their relationship with the Indian Mughal rulers? The book is an attempt to answer these questions. Generally we can find two main applications for speaker diarization. Automatic Speech Reco…gnition systems make use of the speaker homogeneous clusters to adapt the acoustic models to be speaker dependent and therefore increase recognition performance. Speaker indexing and rich transcription systems also use the speaker diarization output as one of information extracted from a recording, which allow its automatic indexation and other further processing. In this study a speaker diarization application is developed using multiparty binaural speech recordings to track speaker activity based on interaural time difference (ITD) cues. These cues, for a given speech signal frame, are computed using gammatone filtering and cross-correlation technique. Their values are used to determine which speaker in the recording produce the considered speech fragment. This study has been supervised by Dr. Jon Barker, and defended to fulfill the requirements for the degree of Master in Advanced Computer Science, University of Sheffield, United Kingdom, 2007. 68 pp. Englisch.

L…os sistemas de reconocimiento automático del habla utilizan los grupos homogéneos de hablantes para adaptar los modelos acústicos a la dependencia del hablante y, por lo tanto, aumentar el rendimiento del reconocimiento. Los sistemas de indexación del hablante y de transcripción enriquecida también utilizan la salida de la diarización del hablante como información extraída de una grabación, lo que permite su indexación automática y otros procesamientos posteriores. En el presente estudio se desarrolla una aplicación de diarización del hablante, utilizando grabaciones binaurales multipartitas del habla, para hacer un seguimiento de la actividad del hablante sobre la base de las indicaciones de la diferencia de tiempo interaural (DTI). Estas pistas, para un marco de señal de habla determinado, se calculan utilizando la técnica de filtrado y correlación cruzada de gammatones. Sus valores se utilizan para determinar qué hablante de la grabación produce el fragmento de habla considerado. Automatische Spraakherkenningssystemen maken gebruik van de homogene clusters van de spreker om de akoestische modellen aan te passen aan de spreker en zo de herkenningsprestaties te verhogen. Luidsprekerindexering en rijke transcriptiesystemen maken ook gebruik van de luidsprekerdiarometrie-uitgang als een van de informatie die uit een opname wordt gehaald, waardoor de automatische indexering en andere verdere verwerking ervan mogelijk is. In deze studie is een applicatie voor luidsprekerdiarree ontwikkeld - met behulp van binaurale spraakopnames van meerdere partijen - om de activiteit van de spreker te volgen op basis van interaurale tijdverschil (ITD) signalen. Deze cues, voor een bepaald spraaksignaalframe, worden berekend met behulp van gammatonefiltering en cross-correlatietechniek. Hun waarden worden gebruikt om te bepalen welke spreker in de opname het beschouwde spraakfragment produceert.
