Aggiungi al carrelloRevised Draft script for the classic 1976 horror film. Early draft, predating Robert Marasco's 1973 novel, noted in manuscript pencil on the title page as dating from "Summer, 1970," with Bob Fosse's name as a directorial credit in addition to Marasco's screenwriter credit on the title page. In the late 1960s, Marasco-at that time best known as a playwright-wrote a screenplay entitled "Burnt Offerings." In 1969, Fosse was announced as being attached to the project as a director, with Turman Films and Cinema Center Films slated to produce. This iteration of the film failed to materialize, and Marasco would adapt his screenplay into a novel, published in 1973 by Delacorte Press. The novel would eventually be successfully adapted for the screen by screenwriter William F. Nolan and director Dan Curtis. A family from the big city are preyed upon by evil forces inhabiting their rented summer estate. A key entry in the supernatural horror boom of the 1970s. Shot on location at Dunsmuir House in Oakland, California. Dunsmuir itself carried its own unlucky history: its original owners both died within a year of the house's construction. Orange titled wrappers. Title page present, noted as REVISED, with credits for Marasco and Fosse. 119 leaves, with last page of text numbered 117. Mimeograph duplication, rectos only. Pages about Fine, wrapper Near Fine, bound with two gold brads.…
