Vintage film still photograph of Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway from the 1967 film, with layout annotations in the margins, and layout annotations on the verso. Perhaps the most significant film for the New Hollywood generation, with its mix of graphic violence, sex and humor, and a glamourous take on disaffected youth. Its port…rayal of violence and ambiguity in regard to moral values, and 'shock' ending, divided critics. One critic, Pauline Kael, came to its rescue, stating that "in a sense, it is the absence of sadism. it is the violence without sadism. that throws the audience off balance at Bonnie and Clyde. The brutality that comes out of this innocence is far more shocking than the calculated brutalities of mean killers." Selected for the National Film Registry in 1992. Shot on location in Texas and California. 10 x 8 inches. Very Good plus. National Film Registry. Ebert I. Grant US. Vintage borderless reference photograph of Peter Bogdanovich directing actor Ryan O'Neal between takes on the set of the 1971 film. Manuscript ink and pencil annotations to the verso. From the archive of film historian and author Joel Finler. Howard Bannister (O'Neal) is in San Francisco at a musicologist convention, competing f…or a research grant. He meets a screwy but intellectual student, Judy Maxwell (Barbra Streisand), and the two strike a connection, and for Judy it's love at first sight. Add to the plot a case of mistaken and stolen goods, and what remains is a wildly successful screwball sendup, the highest grossing film ever directed by Peter Bogdanovich. Its success lay largely in a rather esteemed crew of screenwriters, which included Buck Henry and Robert Benton. Set and shot on location in San Francisco. 10 x 8 inches. About Near Fine.

Post-production continuity script of the landmark and controversial neo-noir film that helped define the "New Hollywood" era. The film has been selected for preservation in the U.S. National Film Registry by the Library of Congress as being "culturally, historically or aesthetically significant". The film premiered in Montreal o…n 4 August 1967. This script is dated over a month later. The biographical film depicts the story of Bonnie Parker (1910-1934) and Clyde Barrow (1909-1934), the American outlaws of the Great Depression. The film's glorification of murderers and graphic depiction of violence heralded a new style in film making. Xerographic typescript, 127 leaves (355 x 216 mm) printed on rectos only. Original blue front wrapper lettered in black comprising title, prong binding. Housed in a custom blue cloth folding box. Ownership signature to front wrapper and additional pen mark. Some foxing, minor chips to front wrapper, adhesive tape repairs to front wrapper, occasional creases: a very good copy.
