Sus obras más conocidas son Bostan (El jardín de las frutas) (1257), y Gulistán (El jardín de las rosas) (1258). Bostan está escrito enteramente en verso, de rima épica y consiste en historias ilustrando apropiadamente las virtudes recomendadas a los musulmanes (justicia, liberalidad, modestia, satisfacción) así como reflexiones sobre la conducta de los derviches y sus prácticas extáticas.
