With 115 colour plates reproducing the oil paintings of the Chinese artist Li Shuji (b.1943), and some colour and b & w photos. Various texts in Chinese and Indonesian, with English translations. This book was produced for an exhibition in Jakarta opened by the President and with the backing of the Chinese government. No publisher or ISBN is given, or date, but one of the texts is dated 1992. Li Shuji paints portraits, human figures, nudes, genre scenes and landscapes, in a Western style. Enclosed separately is a 13 page booklet of the same format with more colour reproductions. Very Good in Very Good protected jacket. Light speckling to closed edges, small marks to a couple of pages. Chinese inscription in biro to half-title. Jacket has light yellowing and small handling marks, chip to top spine. Pictures available.
