LANGES NACHWORT von Roland Beer Jena (Thüringen, DDR) 1970. MIT ANHANG: Literaturhinweise, Ein alphabetische Auflistung der Buchautoren und Dichter mit ihren Lebenszeiten (wichtig für die Einordnung, einige Verfasser WAREN JUNG; als KP. sie traf, einige (Olescha in Odessa) alt). Der Autor diesen Buches starb 1967 75jährig und hatte so ein wenig Zeit, Kollegen zu besuchen. Ab 1917 lebte es in der UdSSR 50 Jahre lang, Kindheit und Jugend und sein junges Mannesalter verbrachte er bis zum Alter von 25 im russischen Zarenreich.- Zur BEGEGNUNG MIT Michail Afanassjewitsch BULGAKOW: Bulg. stammte aus Kiew. Er wurde in Kiev geboren und hat dort auch seine Jugend verlebt. DAMALS WAR KIEW EINE STADT KRASSER GEGENSÄTZE. Neben einer sehr fortschrittlichen wissenschaftlichen und künstlerischen Intelligenz gab es eine breite Schichte NIEDERTRÄCHTIGER, GERISSENER KLEINBÜRGER, die sogenannten 'Kiewer Spießer'. Dieser Ausdruck, der zu einem festen Begriff geworden ist, war jedermann geläufig. Sogar in Tschechows Drama "Die Möwe" ist davon die Rede [siehe unsere Tschechowbücher]. Der 'Kiewer Spießer' war ein übler Kleinbürger von ganz besonderer Art; er hatte etwas von dem hochnäsigen und dümmlichen polnischen Kleinadel an sich, stand aber auch einer so frechen und scheinheiligen Figur wie Tschechows Jepichodow nicht nach. Aus dem Bodensatz dieser abstoßenden Zwischenschicht der Gesellschaft gingen wilde Fanatiker und Erzreaktionäre hervor. Zu ihrer Hochburg machten sie das Kiew-Petschersker Kloster und als öffentliche Tribüne dienten ihnen winselnde monarchistische Blätter, die von finsteren DUNKELMÄNNERN UND GEWISSENLOSEN Nationalisten herausgegeben wurden. Bulgakow hatte den 'Kiewer Spießer' nur allzu gut kennengelernt und begreiflicherweise hegte er sein Leben lang einen bitteren, vernichtenden Hass gegen alles, was auch nur im entferntesten Züge von Spießertum, Primitivität und Falschheit aufwies. 1962; innen sauber, keine Eintragungen oder Markierungen, Ebd. fest; sofort lieferbar.
