Soft cover. Condizione: Very Good. New York and Santiago: New Museum of Contemporary Art and Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes, Publica Editores, 1997. Soft-cover folio. Very good condition, with very light wear to covers and no marks to text. In the 1980s, when Pinochet was in power, Dittborn made collages of appropriated images on lightweight panels, which he called "paintings." Each panel was folded and placed in an envelope with the label, AIRMAIL PAINTINGS BY DITTBORN, then slipped out of the country for exhibition. The works addressed a range of political and anthropological themes at a time of maximum national intolerance. Store ID#: O-RE1997P-A. Book.
