"Today it provides agricultural commodity news, analyses and prices. When established in 1760, however, it not only contained prices of commodities in London, but a wide variety of political, commercial and society news and commentary" (taken from Wikipedia). Though the title names William Dodd as the "publisher," he was really an editor to this collection which was technically published by Edward and Charles Dilly, as shown in our listing. 2 Volumes complete. This set has been professionally rebound in beautiful black cloth hardcover boards with gilt lettering and design on the spine. Both volumes are completely free from handwriting or marginalia, and show minimal foxing/staining, which is rare for a set of this age. Volume one has some bio-predation, a tiny tunnel (presumably termite) which starts near the front of the book and continues all the way to the back.
