The page top edges are gilt (showing slight damage) and the others are rough cut. The green cloth boards have bright gilt lettering and show some rubbing to the corners and edges. Small wrinkle to the cloth on the rear.

Beautiful full red morocco, with raised bands, gilt decoration on spine and armorial centerpieces on front boards, gilt border rinceaux, turn-ins, marbled endpapers. Gilt edges. N.d., circa 1890s. 8vo. 23.5 by 17.5 cm. Condition: foxing scattered within. Prize book plate on FEPs. Text blocks and bindings are all solid. Leather of binding is supple, bright, fresh, fine or near fine.
