Folio, 8 wonderful etchings in color by Max Pollak complementing Theodore Dreiser's text. Signed.

Deckle edges, top edge uncut and others untrimmed. Very minor and occasional spotting only to the boards. Plastic jacket protecting the boards, including the original unprinted acetate dust jacket in fine condition. Comes in the original matching box in very good condition, minor chippings with small tears on the edges, slightly dust-soiled. Black letters and red designs matching the front board. Internally clean and bright, intact leaves. Illustrated with eight colour etchings by Max Pollak, all in great condition. Printed on handmade laid and watermarked Italian paper. The book in fine and the box in a very good condition. The typography has been designed by Werner Helmer. The etchings in full colours have been reproduced, under the direction of Hugo Knudsen (Danish printer, d. 1955), by offset lithography. The cover design in by Ralph Fabri.
