Condizione: Very good condition. Large signed lithograph depicting Georges Picquart in prison, flanked by two female allegorical figures, Truth and Justice. Depicting Picquart in Cherche-Midi military prison in Paris. Picquart was imprisoned in 1898 after gathering evidence against Major Esterhazy, following Captain Alfred Dreyfus's sentence in 1894. The Dreyfus Affair was a complex anti-Semitic miscarriage of justice, a political scandal of the 3rd French Republic. 9 x 12" on paper 11 x 15 1/2".
