Initially empathy was seen by the general population as something worth striving for. However, this view was recently challenged by the American psychologist Paul Bloom by stating 'The problems we face as a society and as individuals are rarely due to lack of empathy. Actually, they are often due to too much of it.' Research indicates that individuals who make decisions based on empathy are often biased and irrational. According to this perspective increasing empathy in the population will not solve social problems, but rather have a negative effect on society.

Philosophers realised the inconsistency in our treatment of animals a while ago, now it is time for social psychology to bring the human- animal relationship into its theoretical framework, as this relationship is strongly social and intergroup based.

Die Wurzeln des deutschen Assessment Centers liegen in den 1920er Jahren. Damals war das sogenannte Rundgespräch ein Teil des Auswahlverfahrens von Offizieren. Die Daten basieren auf einer Stichprobe von 118 Personen. Die Personen sind überwiegend zwischen 18 und 30 Jahren. Die meisten befinden sich im Studium. Gemessen werden die drei zuvor genannten Variablen Angst vor Datenmissbrauch, sozialer Einfluss und Nutzung von Mobile Payment. Die Daten wurden mithilfe mehrerer Regressionsberechnungen analysiert. Es wurden positive Zusammenhänge zwischen allen drei Variablen gefunden. Es ist also sehr wahrscheinlich, dass die Angst vor Datenmissbrauch und der soziale Einfluss in der Nutzung von Mobile Payment eine Rolle spielen.Im Zuge der COVID-19-Pandemie wird auch in Deutschland das kontaktlose Bezahlen immer beliebter. Was in Amerika und China schon seit dem Jahre 2014 Standard ist, hat in Deutschland eine weltweite Pandemie gebraucht, um endlich Einzug zu finden. Zum Schluss werden die relevantesten Punkte in einem Schlussteil festgehalten.Besonderes Augenmerk auf die Diagnostik, Behandlung und Prognose von Sexualstraftätern wird immer wieder bei außergewöhnlichen Delikten gelegt. Forensisch tätige Psychologen und Psychiater fühlen sich Angesicht dessen auf ihrem Gebiet oft nicht ausreichend ausgebildet. Im Laufe des Gerichtsverfahrens wird heutzutage hinter die Taten geschaut und die Motive des Täters ergründet, seine kritischen Lebensabschnitte näher beleuchtet und eventuelle seelische Störung ausfindig gemacht, um seine Schuldfähigkeit zu klären -mit dem langfristigen Ziel der Resozialisierung, gegebenenfalls mithilfe von Unterstützung in Forme einer Therapie. Dies war nicht immer in unserer Geschichte so, denn früher wurden psychische Erkrankungen bei kriminellen Delikten, wie eben Sexualstraftaten, gar nicht als Ursache in Erwägung gezogen.
