Roger rose quickly through the ranks, starting as Assistant Controller (Programmes) and eventually was appointed Director of Entertainment in 1933.Complete with the very scarce original unclipped dust wrapper.For the BBC's 90th anniversary, extracts of this book were abridged by Neil Cargill and read by James Fleet, including descriptions of the rapid expansion of the BBC, a tour of Broadcasting House and on audience research.Undated, dated from various copies held institutionally. In the original cloth binding. With the original unclipped dust wrapper. Externally, very smart, with minor bumping to the extremities and slight yellowing to the spine.
