Light wear and minor defects to covers; light to moderate foxing (mostly at the first and last several leaves), else a very good set, handsomely bound by Zaehnsdorf. Finely bound early Thornton Edition (first published by Downey and Co. at London in 1898), named for the village on the outskirts of Bradford, West Yorkshire best known as being the birthplace of the Brontë sisters: Emily Brontë's Wuthering Heights; Charlotte Brontë's Jane Eyre, Villette, The Professor, and Shirley; Anne Brontë's Tenant of Wildfell Hall, and Agnes Grey; E.
