Aggiungi al carrelloRed Cloth. Condizione: Very Good. Condizione sovraccoperta: No dj. Harry Rountree, Anne Anderson, H. M. Vrock, Charles Robinson (illustratore). First Edition. Tight clean red cloth hardcover, no date but circa mid 30's with art deco feel to binding and illus. Bright gilt aeroplane/sun motif on front panel with couple atop wings. Gilt clear to evenly faded spine panel. Little wear, corners crisp, no DJ. 12 full page colour plates, 3 by Harry Rountree. Two of these are illustrations in a complete version of Alice in Wonderland, which extends from page 33 to 95, and also has many Harry Rountree line illus. in text. There are many other fairy tales in this volume, mainly classics by Andersen and Grimm, and there are several other very commendable plates by various artists. The book ends abruptly and in the gutter between the final leaf and the pictorial endpaper there appear to be the stubs of three presumably blank leaves. However these are carefully glued down with what best can tell is the original publisher's glue, so I think this is deliberate but just went a little careless at the printers. 278pp. A nice and unusual addition to any Alice collection. Size: 4to.

First edition. First edition. 8vo. 10 Booklets, as issued, Complete. Each booklet is blue printed wrappers, each booklet is limited to 100 numbered copies and signed by the author. Each booklet is numbered 28. Pages vary from 20 - 30 pages each. Index in Book #10. This important series is best described by John Carroll: "A few short years ago the Old Army Press published a book of mine which I had edited, The Papers Of The Order Of Indian Wars. In the process of accumulating this exciting material many first-hand, personal memoirs of soldiers of the western frontier were acquired but not published in the book.this left me with a vast amount of important material and no place to put it. I finally decided to issue the material in pamphlet form in a limited edition so that the important material would be, at least, preserved. In the next few months I anticipate several pamphlets will be produced, each representing unpublished material deposited with the Order of Indian Wars for their use. In a couple of instances there will be some material found in the pamphlets which very well may have seen prior publication in obscure periodicals making the material totally unavailable, so for all practical purposes, the material will be seen by you for the first time. Such material is at a minimum; the majority of the narratives will never have seen print before."--John Carroll, Introduction for Book #1. Light crease to upper fore-corner of Book #1 and Book #10, else fine, bright copies. Housed in a custom cloth slipcase with title, author, year on label on spine.
