Hardcover. Condizione: Very Good. Condizione sovraccoperta: Good. 1st Edition. RAILROADS COLORADO RAIL ANNUAL NO. 17 1987 HARD COVER MAP PACKET. Most of the references I found online to this book refer to the individual stories contained in this volume. I am very pleased to offer: Colorado Rail Annual No. 17, which contains the following stories: Rocketing to the Rockies, Tennessee Pass, & Last of the Birneys. This book was edited by Charles Albi and William C. Jones. In addition, this volume also includes, laid-in at the rear endpaper, a packet of Maps of the Rock Island and Tennessee Pass. This large hard cover book (8 ¾ x 11 ¼ inches, 280 pages) was published by the Colorado Railroad Museum ( a Railfan Paradise Open All Year ) of Golden, Colorado, dated 1987, with no other mention of editions. The book is bound in maroon cloth with gilt titles and decorations on the cover and spine; it is protected by a pictorial dust jacket featuring a Howard Fogg illustration. The map packet is still sealed so I can only assume that all four maps are present (and I am going to leave it that way so the new owner can decide or not to open it). The book is very well-illustrated with over 300 photographs, most in b&w but also including a few in color. Condition: This book is in very good condition. The dust jacket, however, is a bit battered with edge wear mostly along the top edge and including a frayed top of the spine. The hard covers are clean, bright and unbumped. Inside, the book is unmarked and the pages and plates are bright and clean throughout. Both hinges are intact, and the binding is tight and sound although it seems a bit over-stuffed from the presence of the map packet at the rear. This book is not ex-library or a remainder.
