Neue Ausgabe. Insgesamt 96 Seiten mit zahlreichen Abbildungen auch in Farbe Inhalt: Künstler Bild- Monographie: Edgar Degas, bürgerlich Hilaire Germain Edgar de Gas (* 19. Juli 1834 in Paris; 27. September 1917 ebenda), war ein französischer Maler und Bildhauer. Er wird häufig zu den Impressionisten gezählt, mit denen er gemeins…am ausstellte. Seine Gemälde unterscheiden sich jedoch von denen des Impressionismus unter anderem durch die exakte Linienführung und die klar strukturierte Bildkomposition. Einerseits schuf Degas zahlreiche Porträts, andererseits konzentrierte er sich auf einige wenige Bildthemen, die er immer wieder variierte: das Ballett, Jockeys und Pferde, das Pariser Nachtleben sowie Frauen bei der Körperpflege. Er widmete sich der Ölmalerei und grafischen Techniken ebenso wie der Pastellmalerei, in der er es zu außergewöhnlicher Meisterschaft brachte. Seine Plastiken zeigen eine neue Auffassung von Skulptur. Zustand: Schutzumschlag minimal berieben, Ecken und Kanten kaum bestoßen. Innen: Sehr sauber und tadellos erhalten.
