Original tan black and gilt pictorial cloth, with very nice stamped gilt picture of the girls on front board, 7x8 1/2 inches, 258 pp. Hardcover, good. Some soil and foxing on cloth,…corners bumped with cardboard exposed there, approximately 1/4 inch deep chipping off head and foot of spine. Internally, previous owner's inscription and small name label, endpapers tanned, 1/2 to 1 inch deep faint tan stain on side margins of first 20 or so leaves, occasional smudge and bit of foxing, a half dozen or so dogears, front and rear hinges starting to crack, shaken, otherwise clean and unmarked, decent overall. Victorian; children's.
