Ein grosser Teil ist den letzten Tagen Hitlers im Bunker gewidmet sowie der anschliessenden Einascherung seiner und Eva Brauns Uberreste, an der Kempka beteiligt war. Dieses Dokument kann mit den Aufzeichnungen von Hitlers Sekretarin Traudl Junge verglichen werden, die teilweise ihren Blick erganzt. Kempka lebte an Hitlers Seite und verehrte ihn, ahnlich wie T. Junge und viele andere Mitarbeiter Hitlers, als Personlichkeit, ohne von den meisten nationalsozialistischen Graueltaten zu wissen. Er beschrankt sich ausschliesslich auf unmittelbare personliche Erlebnisse mit Hitler und erwahnt keinen politischen oder gesellschaftlichen Kontext, noch reflektiert er uber Ideologie und Krieg. Er erzahlt einfach von dem, was er erlebt hat.
