Inner hinges still solid, no name, no book-plate, no writing at all internally. Pages show mild toning at extremities but text is quite clean. A title in the Cuffy Bear series, this copy is in near very good condition.

Ownership inscription to the 'This Book is My Own' section at the rear pastedown, and the same name is written in ink on the front cover of the dustjacket. A VG copy, scarce in it's jacket. A sequel to Helen Bannerman's hugely popular children's book 'The Story of Little Black Sambo', illustrated here by Clara Bell Thurston and Erne Vetch. Proliferating racial caricatures of the Jim Crow era, 'The Story of Little Black Sambo' and follow on texts such as this volume have gained notoriety for the racist stereotypes which characterise their illustrations. Publisher's code 731D on the jacket 16mo. Illustrated.
