'Gelbe' Tessiner marschierten neben 'grauen' und 'grünen' Bündnern. Neben 'dunkelblauen' Aargauern und 'schwarzgrauen' Luzernern kämpften 'rote' Schweizer, welche aus Frankreich zurückgekehrt waren. Zeittafelhüte wechselten mit Dreispitzen, Zweispitze mit Tschakos. Luntenschloßgewehre wurden neben französischen Steinschloßgewehren abgefeuert, und Halbarten standen bei den Innerschweizer Truppen immer noch in Gebrauch. Das [.] sichtbare Zeichen der Zugehörigkeit zur schweizerischen Armee war die von General Bachmann 1815 befohlene Armbinde von scharlachrotem Tuch mit weißem freischwebendem Kreuz am linken Arm."
