The boards are even and firm and quite clean and with slight wear to spine ends. The end papers are slightly tanned; the front free end paper is missing. The text block is illustrated with drawings, diagrams and 56 plates to rear black and white. The pages are flat and securely attached to the boards. The cut edges are slightly tanned, and the title page, end pages and some of the pages with plates are slightly tanned. Some of the prelims are missing. No dedications etc. Good plus condition.
