Taschenbuch. Condizione: Neu. Neuware - In the narrow orientations in theological education, we seldom find a meaningful conversation between the different departments. However, it is vital to bridge between the various areas of study and to listen to research work done in the other 'camp'. This book is an attempt to contribute to the conversation between Missiology and Biblical Studies.Articles in this book offer some perspectives on various aspects of witness, evangelism and mission as one finds them in the Bible. They are supplemented and enriched by others who bring mission perspectives to bear on the biblical text. The deep conviction that this book affirms is that biblical as well as missiological research will only benefit if its representatives continue a conversation between the two areas.…

Their bookplate has an image of the house in the background, with a blackbrid eating a worm in the foreground. In the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally sound, with light bumping to the head and tail of the spine and also to the extremities. Light patches of rubbing to the front and rear joints, and 2 small tears to the head and tail of the front joints. Booksellers label and the previous owners bookplate to the front pastedown. Paperback. Condizione: New. Print on Demand. This book comprises approximately 600 letters written by and to the first Earl of Clarendon over a period of nearly 20 years, beginning with the Restoration of King Charles II in 1660. They provide an unmatched insight into the machinations of court politics, the machinations of foreign powers, and the religious and philosophical conflicts that threatened to tear the nation apart. Many of the letters in this book appear in print for the very first time and have been collected from various sources. They cover a range of topics from high politics to domestic trivia, offering a glimpse into the daily lives of the privileged classes in Restoration England. Several significant series of letters are printed here; many concern Clarendon's diplomatic endeavours, domestic politics, and Irish affairs. It is a major resource for historians of the period and for anyone interested in the complexities of relationships during one of the UK's most turbulent times. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format.
