Vol. III: xiv, 352 pages, 1 fold-out chart. Atlas volume: 38 numbered pages of text, 46 leaves of engravings, 5 double-page leaves of engravings, 1 single leaf map, 2 double-leaf maps. Blue and white cloth covers. Mint. Lutke's expedition left Kronstadt in 1826, and reached Sitka in 1827. The expediton then sailed north to the Aleutian Islands and the Bering Sea, extensively exploring those areas.

Romantic view of forests in Southeast Alaska, mighty spruce, some fallen, frame a view to mountain peaks. A generic indigenous person, likely Tlingit, with a cloak and staff is shewn to the left, two further figures are talking on a fallen trunk. In contrast to the people, the vegetation is rendered with accuracy. This is one of 65 lithographs from a Russian account of exploration in the Pacific in the 1820s. The Northeast designation given in the print title may be explained because from a Russian point of view Alaska was in the far east not far west. The print is after Postels, Alexandre Philippovitch (1801-1871), one of 7 (?) of Alaska in this work, and taken from the folio volume of Litke, F. P.
