First Edition. 6 pages, 8 1/2Ó by 11Ó, staplebound. An illustrated program honoring American actor, comedian, juggler, and writer, W.C. Fields, featuring an interview between W. Claude Fields, Jr. (son of W.C. Fields) and Raymond Rohauer, the Film Curator and Program Director, The Gallery of Modern Art in New York. William Claude Dukenfield (1880 - 1946), better known as W.C. Fields began his entertainment career in vaudeville as a silent juggler. Later he began to incorporate comedy into his act as was a featured star in the Ziegfeld Follies before his film and radio work which would make him an international star. Some of his best known work in film includes ItÕs a Gift(1934), Man on the Flying Trapeze (1935), The Bank Dick (1940), and Never Give a Sucker an Even Break (1941). Very good copy with some overall handling and creasing in printed wrappers.
