In the prefatory note she writes: "My father had always hoped to put together the notes which he head collected on his old house. his intention has now been carried out by our friend and neighbour, Miss Gladstone.".

The leaves have… one or two spots and marks, but are generally clean; small ink initials to front blank. A lovely amateur bound first edition of Gladstone's historical recollections of Notting Hill.
