Les autres textes évoquent l'Empire et la Restauration : "Une Conspiration en Province", "Les Alliés ou l'Invasion", "Les Français en Espagne". Officier de cavalerie puis officier des Haras français, Adolphe Dittmer (1795-1847) fit la campagne d'Espagne en 1823. Etat très satisfaisant (dos un peu frotté, des rouss.) Langue: Français.

Notre exemplaire, mentionné comme étant une troisième édition, reprend en frontispice le portrait-charge de Stendhal (annoncé comme étant celui de M. de Fongeray). Quelques épidermures aux coiffes, dorures un peu passées et quelques rousseurs éparses, mais exemplaire en reliure d'époque agréablement patinée.
