Not only has he got terrific scope and physique, but also what is sometimes called 'the look of eagles', that is to say an imperious eye which, rather than focusing on his near surroundings, seems to be searching for a pack of hounds in the distant horizon.That, anyway, is the impression he gave me on the first occasion that I can condsciously remember seeing him, namely at the 1991 Badminton trot-up." King William [1983-2002] was one of the living legend Mary King's great horses. He competed in two Olympics, in which she has competed at every single one since 1992, medaling 2x, as well as being a top, international competitor, on a variety of horses, since 1984. Exhaustively photographed with mostly color pictures, showing all phases of preparation, and competition: dressage, cross counry jumping, arena jumping.
