Condizione: Acceptable. Most items will be dispatched the same or the next working day. A readable copy. All pages and the cover are intact (dust cover may be missing). Pages can include considerable notes--in pen or highlighter--but notes cannot obscure the text. An acceptable condition book. Date circa and potentially as early as the late 1800s. An original edition with illustrated boards of a boy holding a cricket bat. Heavy scuffing to the boards and spine that is particularly notable to the book edges. Loss to the cloth corners. A significant crack in the hinge beside the front board that makes it feel fairly loose and a lighter crack beside the rear board. A few pages and a plate are loose but present and the binding has slacker sections. The gold gilding to the page edges is scuffed and the loose pages have minor dog-eared edges. The contents show a typical amount of dusty marks but remain legible throughout, and the print is unfaded. A very worn and well-handled copy and for use for reading and reference only. Not suitable for shelf presentation. A scarce original edition.
