Contents include parts 1 - 4 of 5 of Fer-de-Lance, the first Nero Wolfe novel by Rex Stout. Note - Verdict ceased publication in the US with the September issue. Consequently part 5 of the serial was never published. There was a British edition of the magazine that continued publication. However, I have not seen part 5 in that edition either. Note: Frank Kane is listed as an author on the front cover of the July issue but it doesn't have a story by him.
