Aggiungi al carrelloHardcover. Condizione: Very Good. Condizione sovraccoperta: Very Good. 1st Edition. Oversized hardcover, 271 pages, copiously illustrated with b&w photos, NOT ex-library. Book is clean and bright, untanned, with unmarked text, free of inscriptions and stamps, firmly bound. Untorn, unclipped dust jacket shows moderate edgewear. -- The book serves as a definitive chronicle of the Gulfstream family of executive aircraft from its inception through to the early 1990s. It details the evolution of the aircraft from the original turboprop Gulfstream I (first flown in 1958) to its jet-powered successors, which became the elite choice for global business aviation. The work chronicles every one of the 800-plus Gulfstreams built up to its publication date, providing a meticulous record of individual aircraft. It is illustrated with b&w photographs, many of which were previously unpublished at the time of its release. Amongst aviation enthusiasts and historians, it is regarded as a meticulously researched and authoritative work on the subject. Primary Source: The book's detailed logging of specific aircraft builds and its 20-year research base make it a primary reference for tracking the early fleet history of the Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation. It provides context for how Gulfstream transitioned from a division of Grumman (famous for WWII military aircraft) to a premier manufacturer of corporate jets.
