Condizione: Very Good. Hbk, square 12mo, 126pp, illustr 8 full-page color plates, no dj as issued, exuberantly embosses and gilt front cover with a color image affixed, I have not seen a copy of this volume on which the has spine has been gilded, so perhaps it was originally embossed only, in any case, the boards on tis copy are clean and bright, with sharp corners and no fraying, internally a fine, clean, tight and unmarked text and altogether a lovely volume.

Good condition hardback pale greenish boards sweded at the touch spine a redish brown showing title clearly in large gilt lettering, no DJ. Front board shows the Title in large capital letters in gilt and below this a decoration which looks like a church window which has leaded lights also in gilt and a dark brown behind the window. 95 pages good and clean with clear print and gilt edged all the way round. Top and bottom edge of spine a little worn. Pages tightly bound.; Foxing on end papers, no foxing on edge of pages. No date found in print, previous owner written February 1925. and also written to Alec with best wishes from Eileen. Frontispiece colour plate with a small piece of music protected by a sheet of tissue. Retold in English with six pictures in colour, each with a small piece of music.

Red covers with color illustration and with gilt lettering and designs. Front cover is faded along top part, back cover is faded around edges and spine is faded. Top edges of covers have some wear, and corners are bumped and worn some. Inside front cover has a gift inscription from 1930. Introduction page has a tear on side edge. Endpapers and several pages have some tanning. Book is in good condition. 12mo, 128 pages, .6 lb.; 12mo 7" - 7½" tall; 128 pages.
