There are no abstract theories, no hearsay opinions and, with a few exceptions, no slavish following of standard fly patterns. Frederick Mold has fished rivers and reservoirs in many parts of England and Wales and has devised his own flies and used them with success in all seasons and conditions. Any angler who follows the author's precepts is likely to improve his catches.
