Original gilt-titled blue cloth 17x25cm in the very rare b/w illustrated jacket featuring a biplane and globe. lxv, 734pp with many in-text b/w photos, line drawings, and adverts +18 photogravure plates including frontis portrait of King George V + 2 colour plates + 5 maps (2 of which folding, including flying boat, airship, RAAF routes etc), all present as called for. Covers near fine lightly bumped and rubbed to the extremities. Interiors near fine with some spotting and slight soiling to text block edges, and short closed tears to the plate facing p136 and folding maps. The jacket, in a removable protector, is good with a 3x3cm triangular chip to the lower front edge (not affecting printed areas), minor loss to the edges, tanned and dusted.
