Author Bio: Italian scholar and Latin poet Gabriel Faerno (ca. 1510-1561), best known for this collection of fables, first published posthumously at Rome in 1563 Synopsis: Faerno s book of fables. Commissioned by his Protector Pope Pius IV around 1550 AD, the collection was not published until 1563, only two years after Faerno died. While the work has commonly been referred to as an adaptation of Aesop s fables, many other sources were mixed in from both history and Greek mythology, as well as others. While often described as Aesop s fables, Faerno used other sources as well, includes tales of regular individuals and the Greek gods, SKU: BTETM0001687 Shipping Info: Approximate Package Dimensions H: 12.5, L: 30, W: 25 (Units: cm), W: 2Kg Tracked Shipping, Insurance Coverage as per Customer Request 2.
