Il grava des vues, des architectures et des portraits', Bénézit) - Die dokumentarisch wertvollen DARSTELLUNGEN zeigen in bemerkenswert feiner Ausführung nebst den Karten von Irland u. 'Table des Matières' für alle 4 Angleterre-Bände (pp. 533-574) -- Den Hauptteil des Textes (pp. 1-444) nimmt die Darstellung des Hauses Hannover in England ein, beginnend mit der Regentschaft von King George III. (engl. König von 1760-1820). Angefangen hatte diese bis 1837 dauernde Personalunion zwischen dem britischen und hannoverischen Thron 1714 mit George I., der noch in Hannover geboren war und die Nachfolge der Stuarts antrat. Die heute wohl noch prominenteste Vertreterin des Hauses Hannover auf dem Königsthron des Vereinigten Königreichs ist Queen Victoria (1819-1901, Königin von 1837 bis 1901). Da Hannover eine weibliche Thronfolge ablehnte, konnte Victoria diese Tradition nicht fortsetzen. An ihrer Stelle wurde ihr Onkel, der Herzog von Cumberland, als Ernst August I. König von Hannover und Herzog von Braunschweig-Lüneburg. Damit war diese über 120 Jahre dauernde Personalunion der beiden Königtümer beendet. Der beachtlich starke Konnex des britischen Thrones zu Deutschland blieb aber bis heute bestehen (Haus Windsor, hervorgegangen aus der Linie Sachsen-Coburg-Gotha; vgl. dazu K.-J.
