Condizione: VG. Condizione sovraccoperta: VG. 2nd edition, 1st printing. A foundational and timeless work in commodity trading using technical analysis, market cycles, and fundamental understanding and how to utilize these concepts in a coherent, actionable framework to maximize profit. Overall Condition: VG/VG BOOK INFORMATION Published in 1951 by Lambert-Gann Publishing Co. Co. in Miami, Florida. Second revised edition, first printing. In its original purple cloth covered boards with gilt spine lettering. With its scarce original pumpkin-orange dust jacket. Octavo, 9 1/4" x 6 1/4". Collated and complete: [xvi], 412, [2] pp. Illustrated with dozens of charts, graphs and tables. The book combines fundamental analysis with technical analysis. Gann stresses understanding supply and demand forces-such as crop reports, weather, and geopolitical events-while also applying his proprietary technical tools, including chart patterns, volume analysis, and his geometric/astronomical methods (e.g., Gann angles, the Square of 9, the Circle of 360). He teaches how to time entries and exits precisely, using both market fundamentals and mathematical indicators. Gann provides 'universal' rules for forecasting commodity trends, emphasizing that trading in commodities is not gambling but a disciplined, business?like profession when conducted on defined principles. ABOUT THE AUTHOR William Delbert Gann (1878-1956) was a pioneering American market technician known for his innovative market forecasting based on astrology, geometric price relationships, swing chart analysis and time cycles. He believed markets moved according to natural laws and mathematical patterns, and he applied these concepts to forecast price movements and manage risk. Gann wrote from practical application, not theory, aiming to turn speculation and investing into a 'profitable profession' through disciplined application of his methods. He believed that market movements follow predictable cycles and that traders can use these to time entries and exits. Gann's work remains a cornerstone in technical analysis, with his unique approaches to market forecasting and time analysis still studied and applied by traders today. CONDITION REPORT VG/VG+ The book is in Very Good vintage condition. Firm binding with boards just a touch loose. Fresh and colorful purple cloth. Very slightly sunned, spine gilt still bright. Light rubbing overall, bottom edge more moderately rubbed. Dust soiling to top and bottom edge. Gently toned pages. Endpapers with tape stains from where a former mylar protector had been adhered. Multiple instances of pencil underlining and partially erased pencil writing. Small reading tear to fore-margin of pp. 119-120. No foxing or former owner bookplates. A few smudges and signs of light handling. The unclipped dust jacket is Very Good. Vividly colorful, bright and unfaded. Chipping to edges, several closed tears on blind side using tape. Creasing, including multiple large creases. All in all, a second edition, first printing of a William D. Gann classic in its scarce, original dust jacket. . Original publisher's purple cloth.…

With its scarce original dust jacket. First edition, first printing. Octavo, 9 3/8" x 6 1/8". Collated and complete: [x], 149 pp., [1]; viii, 94 pp. Twenty within text chart illustrations. ABOUT THE AUTHOR & WORK William Delbert Gann (1878-1956) was a pioneering American market technician known for his work on time cycles, geometric price relationships, and swing chart analysis. He believed markets moved according to natural laws and mathematical patterns, and he applied these concepts to forecast price movements and manage risk. Gann wrote from practical application, not theory, aiming to turn speculation and investing into a 'profitable profession' through disciplined application of his methods. 45 Years in Wall Street was written in 1949, after more than 45 years of active trading. The book is often called the 'Bible' of Gann trading and remains a cornerstone text for traders, analysts, and historians. Many of its techniques are still used by floor traders and technical analysts worldwide. It is one of Gann's most influential and acclaimed works, combining the following: (1) Historical market reviews - notably the 1937 and 1942 panics and the 1946 bull market; (2) Practical trading rules - including swing chart techniques, trendline analysis, percentage retracements, and time cycle methods; (3) Market psychology insights - how human behavior drives cycles; and (4) Long-term forecasts - based on Gann's Law of Vibration and natural cycles. Publisher has placed a sticker updating its name and address over the book's info on each work's title page and on page 149 (the publisher info change occurred in 1951). There is also a publisher embossed stamp with its official seal on page 119 (dated 1951) adjacent to where there is a large tape repair extending along the gutter margin of pp 149-150 and the following gutter between 150-151. (It appears as the old page was cut out and replaced by the publisher [W. D. Gann] with a new one in 1951. This type of repair is typically done by a publisher when needing to replace a page for some reason, usually due to a binding or printing error or to correct errata, though typically special glue is used to seamlessly adhere a new page [a cancel page] to a stub rather than tape. The dust jacket is Very Good-. Vivid and bright. Sunned spine. Some light dust soiling and water spots. Chipping along spine and folds. A few tears, one closed on verso. Edge wear creasing and some chipping, large crease at head of front panel. All corners clipped, price-clipped. Some rubbing to panels. Toning to jacket blind side. First edition of one of the most sought-after works in the literature of commodity trading, distilling the charts, rules, and forecasting methods of the twentieth centuryâs most famous and mysterious market operator. Octavo, original purple cloth lettered in gilt. From the library of the authorâs sister, Edna Gann Dunn. Written with the authorâs son John L. Gann and published from Gannâs own offices at 82 Wall Street. In good condition with rubbing and wear to the cloth. A desirable family-owned copy of one of Gannâs key works. William Delbert Gann (1878-1955) was among the most famous and enigmatic figures in the history of financial markets, a trader and forecaster whose methods, the Gann angles, the square of nine, and his theories linking price, time, and geometry, still command a devoted following among technical analysts. How to Make Profits Trading in Commodities was written to supply what Gann described as a universal demand for rules that would forecast the trend of commodities, the book drew on his forty years of market experience to demonstrate that speculation can be made a profitable profession when conducted on business principles and mathematical rules rather than reckless gambling, a conviction Gann advanced with the fervor and systematic thoroughness of a man who regarded market behavior as ultimately governed by natural law. The volume covers wheat, corn, cotton, soybeans, lard, and sixteen additional commodities in exhaustive detail, providing rules for identifying tops and bottoms, seasonal trends, support and resistance levels, and the precise stop-loss strategies that Gann regarded as essential to capital preservation.…
