Paperback. Condizione: New. Print on Demand. This acclaimed book provides an in-depth exploration of life within Ward 35 of Walter Reed General Hospital, a renowned institution specializing in the rehabilitation of young veterans from the Vietnam War. The book delves into the diverse experiences of two Brown graduates, Alan Vaskas and Thomas Coakley, who find themselves navigating the challenges of severe injuries and the subsequent process of rebuilding their lives. Through their shared reminiscences and struggles, the author sheds light on the profound impact of war and the remarkable resilience of the human spirit. The book offers a moving and honest account of the triumphs and setbacks faced by these individuals as they confront the limitations of their physical bodies and grapple with the psychological ramifications of their experiences. It delves into the themes of hope, resilience, and the power of human connection as they strive to reclaim a sense of purpose and belonging in the aftermath of the war. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book. print-on-demand item.…
