A popular figure within literary circles, Gawsworth compiled this charming anthology to showcase the new works of friends, including W.H. Davies, Lord Alfred Douglas, Hugh MacDiarmid and Edith Sitwell among many others. A champion of traditional verse and an eccentric, Gawsorth declared himself King of Redonda micronation following the death of friend M.P. Shiel. Minor fading to boards, with minor browning to title label and top edges. Small knocks to the head and tail of the spine, and to the extremities.
