Paperback. Condizione: New. Print on Demand. This book details the mathematics and methodology of designing turbines and their accessories, such as controlling water, bearings, and more. The author, an expert in his field, combines theoretical analysis with numerical examples to illustrate real-world applications of the concepts he presents. Turbine Design and Installation covers various types of turbines, including impulse and reaction turbines, and details the nuances of design for each. The text covers the selection and design of turbines to suit specific conditions, such as available head and discharge. The economic side of turbine design is also addressed, as the author explains how to design turbines to minimize cost and maximize efficiency. The author draws on hundreds of turbines he has designed and built to provide practical, hands-on examples. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. NMit 52 Textfiguren und 31 lithographierten Tafeln. Berlin: Verlag Julius Springer, 1906.
