In Later life he was an ardent supporter of Poland's anti Communist Solidarity movement. Quite a scarce book.

Aggiungi al carrelloHardcover. Condizione: Very Good. Condizione sovraccoperta: Very Good. 1st Edition. 8vo, hardcover with dust jacket (design by Ken Symonds), 159 pages. 1st edition, 1st impression. A scarce work of Polish writer Jerzy Andrzeyewski, sometimes anglicized as "George Andrzeyevski". His other works often referenced the moral controversies which took place during the Second World War, so it is easy to see why he would be interested in the inner mechanisms of such an institution as the Inquisition was. The book is almost immaculate, with only contemporary handwriting at one end paper. The unclipped dust jacket is slightly worn at the edges, with smalls tear at the top and the bottom of the front cover, but no loss. It also shows the usual marks of dust at the back, amidst the reviews of other books by the same publisher. All in all, a very good copy of a very scarce first edition.
