A rare, pristine copy of the uncommon title in seemingly unread condition. This volume comes from the library of celebrated African-American History scholar, and H.O.P.E. Teaching Award recipient, William M. Tuttle Jr., founder of the Association for the Study of African American Life and History, at Kansas University. Dr. Tuttle's former ownership stamp is on the upper corner of the front endpaper. Book and DJ are bright and clean. $6.00 price intact on DJ flap. Author George K. Hesslink, U. of Chicago Ph.D and professor at IU, Rutgers and Pomona, before ultimately chairing the Sociology Department at Claremont, concentrated his studies on the integration of African Americans in the rural community, whether there is true integration or just bi-racial tolerance, examining both the status quo and social change. An uncommon title in African-American studies; Fine/Fine condition.
