Red boards with grey lettering on the spine. Covers are well thumbed and rubbed, with large swathes of white discolouration front, back and spine. Head a…nd tail of spine bumped, corners smooth and bear some heavy wear and tear. Spine sunned and faded, this bleeds onto front and back covers. Free endpapers, pastedowns, title pages and most pages throughout bear moderate foxing and discolouration. Previous bookseller's stamp upon front free endpaper. Page edges are moderately discoloured, particularly at the head edge. Binding is tidy, yet split at half-title page, rear free endpaper and several places mid-way through. One illustration has become detached at a binding split. Spine slightly cocked.
