Beaucoup d'etudes en langues occidentales ont ete publiees depuis, mais, curieusement, personne n'a encore repris l'ensemble du travail presente ici pour l'enrichir et le completer, ce qui serait pourtant souhaitable. Certaines syntheses imposantes ont ete elaborees, mais nous ne trouvons pas encore de nouveau "manuel" comme celui-ci. Cet ouvrage garde alors une vraie utilite, et sa reimpression sera accueillie favorablement par beaucoup de chercheurs.
