Our copy, besides having the illustrations presented in two states, uncolored on a vellum paper and without the text and then colored with text, has an extraordinarily beautiful Françoise Picard full morocco binding with an inlay floral centerpiece and a Celtic knot impressed repeat. 8vo. 19.5 by 14 cm. With 40 hand-colored wood engravings by Marty, these exquisite stylized illustrations that epitomize the finest of Art Deco aesthetics. There is an illustration on virtually every page, with or without text. The numbering is of the leaves, not pages, but since all content, with a single exception, is on the rectos, this amounts to the same thing.
