HC. A nice clean and tight set. Ex-Library with the usual marks, volumes 1, 2, 3, 4, 7, and 9 were rebound in brown buckram cloth in 1973 with the book blocks trimmed a tad. Volumes 5, 6, and 8 are 3/4 leather with marbled boards with wear to the extremities. My assumption is that these volumes were rebound in the mid 19th century. The hinges and or endpapers of the leather bound volumes have been reworked to make the entire set with tight book blocks. very good (hardcover) mixed bindings, see note, EX-LIB.…
