Glue and Lacquer : Four Cautionary Tales. Harold Acton and Lee Yi-Hsieh (Translators) and Eric Gill (Illustrator). preface by Arthur Waley; with illustrations from drawings by Eric Gill, interpreted on copper by Denis Tegetmeier. Gill passed away after completing the designs but before publication, Tegetmier, his son-in-law converted his work to engravings. Bookplate in the front of Lawrence Clark Powell who was an American librarian, literary critic, bibliographer and author. Published by The Golden Cockerel Press, London, 1941. This edition printed on the 28th day of April, 1941 is limited to 350 copies. This is copy number 103. Printed on mould made paper and bound in 1/4 Morocco. "leather spine damage, all but detached, cloth a little grubby, inside foxing throughout, heavier at the front and back, illustrations have managed to keep foxing free".
