Raro documento che testimonia della cessione di larga parte del patrimonio del Conte Antonio Nazari-Avogadro in favore dei canonici della Collegiata di San Gaudenzio come si evince dal testamento riprodotto integralmente. Giovanetti (1787-1849), novarese, avvocato (esperto nella legislazione delle acque, fu fra l'altro allievo di Romagnosi) ed economista, compose quest'opera promuovendo la causa liberista, che infine prevalse nella legislazione del commercio serico piemontese. Prima edizione, non comune. Tabelle della produzione e delle tariffe degli stati italiani ed esteri. Buono stato, brossura e alcune pagine con sgualciture ed orecchie, piccola mancanza all'angolo del piatto posteriore, dedica sul piatto anteriore, piccola etichetta al ds, ma carte fresche ed esenti da fioriture e gore, in barbe e brossura editoriale.

In-8° (225x142mm), pp. 188, (2), brossura originale rosa con titolo entro bordura e dedica autografa dell'autore. Sparse quanto usuali fioriture, ma bell'esemplare in barbe. Prima edizione, rara, di quest'opera del noto giureconsulto novarese che contribuì potentemente al trionfo in Piemonte della causa liberista contro il monopolio dei torcitori, criticando accesamente la cattiva organizzazione del commercio serico in terra piemontese, gestito soprattutto da intermediari miranti soprattutto alla tutela dei propri interessi categoriali. L'opera fu commissionata al Giovanetti dai ministri dell'Interno e delle Finanze, e, non a caso, ad essa seguì, a distanza di soli pochi mesi (Manifesti Camerali del 7 aprile 1835 e 9 aprile 1836) la libera esportazione della seta greggia previo il pagamento di un modico dazio. Il Giovanetti (Orta, 1786-Novara, 1849) fu celebre avvocato, espertissimo di giurisprudenza delle acque, e notevole studioso di qustioni economiche. Fu Senatore dal 1848. Sirugo, 1245. Einaudi, 2586. Novarese, 45: Questa memoria fece molto rumore ed eccitò non lieve fermento nei proprietari dei torcitoi, e fu combattuta dagli scrittori monopolisti, ma prevalsero le idee del Giovanetti.
